Therefore be it resolved that Great Lakes United approach both federal governments and request in the strongest terms possible that the International Joint Commission establish with the utmost dispatch a bilateral Lake Huron Outflow Monitoring Board for water quantity;and, Therefore be it further resolved that Great Lakes United recommend to the International Joint Commission that the new Lake Huron Outflow Monitoring Board include at least one member who possesses a comprehensive understanding of ecosystem management.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Great Lakes United calls upon the Canadian Government to halt construction of the new high level radioactive waste storage facility at the Bruce nuclear complex until such time the above concerns are fully addressed complete with meaningful and thorough public hearings in Michigan and the United States; and BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that Great Lakes United reconfirms our previous resolutions calling upon the U.S. and Canadian Governments to begin to immediately phase out all nuclear power plants within the Great Lakes Basin, and to utilize and research less ecologically devastating forms of energy, including but not limited to energy conservation, energy efficiency, solar and wind energy.

Therefore be it resolved that Great Lakes United call upon the Canadian Parliament to
take effective steps to preserve the Ojibway Industrial Site (Ojibway Shores) as a natural area.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that Great Lakes United spare no effort to convince the
parties that all five Great Lakes must have LAMPS and that Lake Huron with all its waters be protected by a Lakewide Management Plan as called for in the GLWQA.
